 What is Democracy ?

 Democracy is taken by greek word "Democracia". Demos in Greek means "people" and Crescia means "rule" thus Democracy (democracy) means "rule of the people".  Democracy is such a system of all countries in which people have been given the right to elect their ruler according to their own desire, on the other hand there are some countries where there is an illegal military coup and regain rule or the descendants of kings.  To rule .  We will read further in detail about What is zip code

 Types of Democracy: Part of Democracy

 Democracy is a form of governance in which people elect rulers. Democracy is defined in two ways - 1. Democratic, 2. Non-democratic

 Democratic

 Democracy is called the rule in which people choose the rule of their choice through electoral system, "the regime in which people elect rulers is called democratic"

 Non democratic

 The rule which is ruled by military coup or descendants of kings is called non-democratic.

 Democracy Examples -

 * General Pervez Musharraf ruled in Pakistan by military coup in October 1999.

 * Only the descendants of the kings of some countries rule.

 Myanmar's military rulers were not elected by the people who had control of the army.  He became the ruler of the country and union territory the people had no involvement in the decisions made for those rulers.  This applies to the royalty, the king of Nepal and the Shah of Saudi Arabia have not been elected rulers by the people, but have been given this right due to being born in the royal .

  Characteristics of democracy

 * In a democracy, the final decision-making power should be with the representatives elected by the people.

 * Democracy should be based on fair and free elections so that those in power have equal opportunities for victory and defeat.

 * In democracy every adult citizen should have one vote and every vote should have the same value.

 Why democracy was needed -

 * Democracy is a better method of governance than others, as it is a more responsive form of governance.

 * Democracy increases the chances of making better decisions.

 * Democracy provides a way to handle differences and conflicts.

 * Democracy increases citizens' respect.

 * The democratic system is better than others, because it also gives us an opportunity to correct our mistake.

 True sense of democracy

 * Should play a common role in deciding for whom there is no need for equal right to vote, every citizen should have access to information, basic education, basic resources and firm loyalty.
